Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron Five
July-September 1942

On this page, Squadron Five is preparing for overseas deployment, August 1942. Apparently, the photos of PT's 107-110 were taken for the purposes of demonstrating the correct way to secure the PT boats on the decks of transport ships. On the Joseph Stanton, PT's 109 and 110 are on the foredeck, with the 110 to port and 109 to starboard. PT's 107 and 108 are on the aft deck; PT 107 is on the port side, PT 108 is to starboard. PT 103 and 105 are shown secured aboard a Navy tanker.
